About the Role

KPMG Law is a leading provider of legal services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Protection Solicitor to join our team. As a Senior Data Protection Solicitor, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of our Data Protection team and providing expert advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in developing data protection strategies and advising on compliance with data protection laws, including the rules around marketing.
  • Provide expert advice on complex data protection compliance issues, including reporting on GDPR/DPA compliance and drafting information notices.
  • Assess joint controller status and draft related documentation, as well as drafting compliant data protection policies and procedures.
  • Respond to data subject rights requests and prepare for and respond to data breaches.
  • Liaise with the ICO on behalf of clients who have received a complaint from a data subject.
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of PQE as a data protection/commercial lawyer.
  • Experience in advising clients on complex data protection compliance issues, including reporting on GDPR/DPA compliance and drafting information notices.
  • Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, including the rules around marketing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
