Key Responsibilities:
- Front End Planning (FEP): Coordinate, facilitate and drive FEP processes, including risk profiling, project breakdown structure development, and integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Project Monitoring & Control: Develop and maintain accurate schedules, perform weekly updates, and facilitate project metrics reporting.
- Change Management: Ensure approved change control processes are followed and maintain project baseline integrity.
- Cost & Schedule Quality: Maintain project schedule quality and accuracy, ensuring alignment with project plans.
- Interface with Cross Functional Groups: Interface with stakeholders to ensure project plans are updated and maintained.
- Purchase Order Analysis & Reporting: Ensure alignment between forecasts and budgeted labour, monitor contractor schedule performance.
- Closeout Phase: Facilitate project financial close out processes.
- Miscellaneous: Assist with continuous improvement of PMO processes and maintain an auditable project file.
Education: Requires knowledge of engineering/science relevant to project planning and control, typically acquired through a four-year university education in Business, Finance, or Engineering.
Experience: Requires familiarity with project controls principles, project management within a Nuclear, Hydroelectric or Thermal generating facility, and experience with scheduling systems such as Primavera P6. A period of over 6 years is considered necessary to gain this experience.
