About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health and Wellbeing Support Assistant to join our team at EdEx. As a key member of our support staff, you will work closely with teaching professionals and support staff to provide individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students with SEN/SEMH needs in 1:1 and small group settings, as well as in the classroom
  • Support class teachers in delivering lesson material to all students
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support student development and progress
  • Provide feedback to class teachers on student progress and development
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Strong academic background, including a degree from a reputable university
  • Previous school-based experience, preferably in a SEN/SEMH setting
  • Understanding of SEN/SEMH needs, with previous experience preferred
  • Committed, driven, and compassionate individual with a passion for learning and supporting students
