About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Autism Care Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will provide a bespoke package of care, support, and education to two young adults with autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the care and educational support for the twins, working in their family home to provide care and skills training.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each young adult.
  • Collaborate with a small team of support assistants to provide a high-quality support service.
  • Provide direct support to the twins, using positive behavior support and strategies to promote their learning and development.
  • Work closely with parents and other professionals to ensure a seamless and effective support service.
Requirements
  • Experience working with young adults with autism, with a strong understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with the twins, their family, and other professionals.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide a high-quality support service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hold or be working towards NVQ level 3 or more, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience in personal care and a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing needs.
