General Adult Consultant Position Available

Rig Locums Ltd is seeking an experienced General Adult Psychiatrist to join our team in the Harrogate area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in General Adult Psychiatry and be able to work effectively in a community team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Crisis Resolution Team in Adult Mental Health, providing service provision in the capacity of a specialty doctor for adult crisis mental health teams. This will include:

  • Leading the team and advising the leadership team
  • Supporting decision making and medication reviews
  • Following up with patients in crisis
  • Prescribing and formulating treatment plans with MDT support
  • Guiding the MDT, nurses, and junior doctors

The ideal candidate will be an effective team member, attending relevant meetings, liaising with ward, internal and external agencies, other mental health teams, and GPs as needed. They will also be responsible for:

  • Attending relevant meetings and conferences
  • Liaising with ward and internal agencies
  • Collaborating with other mental health teams and GPs
