Location: Remote (with occasional travel to client sites)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Stress Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for providing analysis of new and existing specialist motor systems, including hardware, propellant charge structure analysis, CFD, and thermal analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support to projects from a structural specific perspective
  • Producing key project documentation, such as structural analysis and structural test plans
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and manufacture high-value products
  • Using relevant software and programming techniques, including Abaqus, Fortran, and Matlab

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level with relevant Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural or Material Science)
  • Previous experience in the use of FEA software (preferably Abaqus)
  • Material Science Knowledge (Metals, composites, viscoelastic materials, adhesives, and manufacturing methods)
