Position Overview: Real Estate Legal Advisor
Location: South-East London
Compensation: Approximately £50-55K based on experience
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days remote)
About the Firm:
Our client is a reputable, full-service law firm located in South-East London, featuring modern facilities and picturesque views.
They are seeking a junior real estate legal advisor with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their thriving property team and engage with long-term, valued clients.
You will inherit a busy caseload from day one and will be part of a supportive and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of the Property Department, you will manage a comprehensive caseload and assist the team in accommodating the increased workload stemming from various marketing and networking efforts. You will receive support from an experienced legal secretary and a professional support lawyer.
As part of a team of four solicitors, you will address a wide range of commercial property issues, including:
- Acquisitions and disposals (both freehold and leasehold)
- Conditional sales and purchases
- Lease agreements
- 1954 Act lease renewals
- Ancillary deeds (such as variations, surrenders, rent deposits, and licenses for alterations)
- Refinancing (acting on behalf of both lenders and borrowers)
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years PQE in all facets of commercial property law, with the ability to manage your own caseload.
- A solid understanding of diverse client needs based on your extensive experience.
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a broader team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in modern case management systems as well as MS Word and Outlook.
- Experience in achieving billing targets in a fee-earning capacity.
- Background in business development and a proactive approach to expanding your client base as part of the firm's marketing and growth initiatives.
- Driven, ambitious, and motivated to surpass targets, with attractive incentive bonuses for exceptional performance.
