About the Role

Albany Beck is seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join their technology team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining innovative solutions that drive the company's business forward.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Python development, with a particular emphasis on utilizing PySpark and pandas for efficient data manipulation and analytics. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize Python-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop robust, scalable, and maintainable Python applications tailored to the needs of the company's operations.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Implement data pipelines for ingesting, cleansing, and transforming large volumes of structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and optimization, driving efficiency and effectiveness in business processes.
  • Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Python Developer, with a strong focus on data processing and analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating relational databases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is advantageous.
