Job Title: Base Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Base Coordinator to join our team at DO & CO Airline Catering. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of our catering services to our airline partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quality and quantity checks on packed flights to ensure compliance with menu cards and specifications.
  • Verify special meal requests and last-minute changes, and report any discrepancies to the Shift Manager.
  • Work in a chilled environment, using provided equipment and clothing, to maintain a high level of product quality.
  • Develop and implement systems to ensure continuous improvement and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve 100% flight checks and maintain excellent working relationships.
  • Provide hourly status updates to managers and maintain a positive and professional service.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a chilled environment.
  • Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety.
  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is ideal.
  • Basic numerical and checking skills are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Physical skills, including movement, coordination, and dexterity.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and willingness to attend training to achieve Level 2 certification.
