About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team on a locum basis. As a Physiotherapist Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering specialist muscular-skeletal/sports and training injury rehabilitation, acting as a Clinical Specialist within Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) clinics, and providing clinical physiotherapy lead for specialist areas of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist muscular-skeletal/sports and training injury rehabilitation to patients referred by Consultants and Medical Officers (MO)
- Act as Clinical Specialist within Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) clinics, providing expert advice and guidance to other healthcare professionals
- Provide clinical physiotherapy lead for specialist areas of work, including sports and training injuries, biomechanics, and training other staff in specialist areas
- Perform highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessments of patients, using clinical reasoning skills to provide accurate diagnoses and request investigations as necessary
- Use the results of investigations to inform clinical decisions and provide appropriate management of patients, referring to other medical and healthcare professionals as needed
- Assess, develop, and implement physiotherapy treatment plans for specialist caseloads, providing advice and guidance in specialist fields
- Formulate, develop, and deliver individualized treatment programs based on evidence-based practice, manual assessment, and clinical reasoning
- Recent UK experience within specialized physiotherapy is essential, with registration with the HCPC as a physiotherapist to work in the UK
- NHS experience is advantageous but not essential
