Position Overview
This full-time position for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Regents in Billericay involves site visits as necessary. The responsibilities of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor encompass a variety of tasks related to financial oversight, estimating, budget management, and financial reporting.
As a family-operated enterprise, the selected candidate will play a crucial role within the team, directly reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Contracts Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- The candidate should be pursuing a BSc in Quantity Surveying.
- Experience in measurement techniques is essential.
Responsibilities include assisting in the development of cost estimates and budgets for construction initiatives.
- Perform measurements and valuations of completed work on-site.
- Support the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
- Track project expenditures and progress, delivering regular updates to senior management.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction field is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are necessary.
Proficiency in numerical and analytical skills is expected.
- Excellent IT capabilities are essential.
