Job Description

Mobile Plant Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Engineer to join our team at Path Recruitment Ltd. As a Mobile Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of our company fleet of plant, which includes mechanical plant equipment ranging from 17m telehandlers, rollers, 25 ton excavators and tracked loaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our plant equipment.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with the parts department to ensure that your van is always stocked with the necessary materials and equipment.
  • Work closely with the hire desk to ensure that customer needs are met and exceeded.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working on a range of plant equipment, including excavators, dump trucks, diggers, and other heavy machinery.
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and company goals.
