Role Overview:
As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting a client with a Spinal Cord Injury. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable caregivers for both day and night shifts, including weekends.
Shift Details:
- Day shifts are 6 hours long, typically from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Training and Development:
While prior experience in care is preferred, we provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to all successful candidates. Our dedicated carer development center features specialized training rooms and fully equipped skills labs to enhance your abilities in various areas, including:
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilation techniques
- Airway suctioning
- Assisting with coughing
- Autonomic Dysreflexia management
- Oxygen therapy
- Bowel management
- Feeding through tubes
- Epilepsy and seizure care
- Catheter maintenance
- Administering complex medications
- Managing challenging behaviors
- Safely moving and positioning clients

Compensation and Benefits:

- Specialized caregivers are assigned to one client per shift, minimizing travel between locations.
- Most caregivers work three shifts (36 hours) per week, earning £ p/wk*.
- This work pattern can lead to an annual income ranging from £26,200 - £28,950*.
- All staff are directly employed, with pay managed through PAYE for simplicity.
*Please note: Rates depend on the shift schedule (day/night/weekend), including holiday pay accrued per work hour.
