Vodafone Group's Cyber Defence Operations (CDO) is a global team dedicated to safeguarding our customers against evolving cyber threats. We are seeking a talented SOAR Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to enhancing our cybersecurity posture.

As a SOAR Developer, you will play a pivotal role in automating security workflows and processes within our Cyber Security Operations (CSOC) environment. You will collaborate closely with security analysts and engineers to identify and address vulnerabilities, ultimately strengthening our defenses against sophisticated cyberattacks.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Refine Automation Playbooks: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable automation tasks within our SOAR infrastructure.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with SOAR development projects and implement mitigation strategies to ensure a secure and robust solution.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Work effectively with external vendors or partners to integrate tools, obtain support, and leverage the latest SOAR technologies.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any challenges encountered.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize SOAR capabilities to collect, analyze, and generate reports on security metrics, providing valuable insights into our cybersecurity posture.
Your Skills and Experience:
  • Strong Security Foundation: Possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • SOAR Expertise: Proven experience in developing and implementing automation playbooks within a SOAR platform (e.g., Splunk Phantom, IBM Resilient).
  • Scripting Proficiency: Skilled in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell to automate tasks and integrate with various security tools.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex security data, identify patterns, and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
