Position Overview:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of material handling equipment and other specified machinery. Your role will involve ensuring that all services are conducted in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform servicing and repairs on-site, ensuring all documentation is maintained in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Efficiently manage the ordering of parts and maintain accurate stock levels and movement records.
  • Dispose of waste products related to repairs using approved disposal methods.
  • Monitor site stock to ensure sufficient resources for daily maintenance tasks.
  • Keep servicing and work-in-progress records up to date.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to site rules and regulations.
  • Provide reliable information to customers regarding maintenance and repairs.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure the safety of repaired equipment.
  • Liaise with the Service Controller and other stakeholders to share information about equipment status.
  • Complete job sheets, timesheets, and requisitions accurately and within required timelines.
  • Propose improvements for work activities and conditions.
  • Take responsibility for all tools and equipment, ensuring they are maintained in a safe and clean condition.

Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related field.
  • Competencies in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues.
  • Proficient in IT applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work with attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and adaptability to changing role requirements.
  • Desire to represent the KION Group brand positively.
