Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Refuse Driver to join our team at Resourcing Group. As a Refuse Driver, you will be responsible for operating a refuse vehicle, collecting and disposing of waste, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and maintain a refuse vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition
  • Conduct daily visual inspections of the vehicle and report any defects
  • Safely tip refuse at disposal sites
  • Act as a chargehand, supervising an allocated refuse collection crew
  • Provide excellent customer care and follow health and safety procedures
  • Assist with refuse loading when required

Requirements:

  • LGV 2 driving license
  • Current clean driving license
  • Possession of a digital Tachograph Card
  • Experience of heavy manual work
  • Experience of waste/recycling collection services (desirable)
  • Commercial driving experience
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures

About the Role:

This is a temporary contract position, with a minimum duration of 2.5 months. The working hours are 37 hours per week, with a standard working day from 06:00am to 14:00pm. The start time may vary due to weather conditions.

What We Offer:

A competitive hourly rate of £17.07ph PAYE, with the potential for a salary of £32,000-£33,000 per annum.
