Position Overview

DAS UK, now part of ARAG SE, is entering a dynamic growth phase and is seeking a dedicated Environmental Sustainability Manager. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the company's policies and strategies concerning sustainability, climate risk, and the transition to net zero emissions. It presents an excellent opportunity to foster awareness and promote best practices throughout the organization.

In this multifaceted position, the selected candidate will be responsible for establishing and integrating relevant policies, processes, controls, and risk management strategies within the organization. Key focus areas will encompass the company's approach to environmental stewardship, sustainability initiatives, and climate change across all operational functions. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing tools and resources to facilitate the management of sustainability, environmental issues, and climate-related regulations and reporting, including strategies for transitioning to net zero.

You will also compile necessary documentation and evidence for governance committees and executive stakeholders. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to cultivate trusted relationships with both internal and external partners. It is crucial that your passion for sustainability and best practices is conveyed effectively, with the capacity to tailor your message to diverse audiences.

Candidate Profile

This position is well-suited for those with project management expertise and a commitment to continuous improvement. Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to present complex information clearly to a range of audiences.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • Familiarity with standards such as ISO TCFD, SDR, EU CSRD, GRI, SBTi, and SDG.
  • Skills in facilitating meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a highly organized and structured approach.
  • Self-motivation, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in drafting policies that meet both legal and organizational standards.
  • The ability to communicate and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders, using appropriate language for the audience.
