Job Summary

GSL Education is seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to fill the role of Exam Invigilator. As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in upholding the integrity of the examination/assessment process.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct examinations in accordance with the guidance from the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ)
  • Supervise and observe candidates at all times during exams
  • Deal with emergencies or irregularities effectively
  • Record/report any incidents, disruption, or irregularities
  • Complete attendance registers
  • Deal with candidate questions according to the regulations
Pre-Exam Responsibilities
  • Report to and be briefed by the exams coordinator prior to each exam session
  • Keep confidential exam papers and materials secure before, during, and after exams
  • Ensure exam rooms are set out according to instructions
  • Admit candidates into exam rooms
  • Distribute the correct exam papers and materials to candidates
  • Deal with candidate queries
Post-Exam Responsibilities
  • Instruct candidates in finishing their exams and collect exam scripts
  • Dismiss candidates from the exam room
  • Check candidate's names on the script, match the details on the attendance registers
  • Securely return all exam scripts and exam materials to the exams coordinator
  • Attend training, update, or review sessions as required
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check – Must be on the update service
  • 2x Educational References are a must in order to clear your file with GSL
