About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at Oakhaven Hospice. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care to patients with palliative care needs, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers, providing emotional support and guidance throughout their journey.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring that patient needs are met and exceeded.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in palliative care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
Requirements
  • NMC Level 1 or 2 registration and recent experience in palliative care or oncology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, nights, and weekends, with a willingness to cover shifts as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
