Job Title: Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Sale, just outside of Manchester city centre. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of construction projects, including industrial, leisure, health, education, residential, office fit-out, and conservation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, schedules of works, and bills of quantities to ensure accurate project planning and execution.
  2. Manage risk and value management processes to minimize project risks and maximize returns.
  3. Prepare tender documentation, assess, and report on tender returns to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  4. Run multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks efficiently to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  6. Travel to sites within the South West and occasionally further within the UK to ensure project success.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, with a strong understanding of construction principles and practices.
  2. MRICS qualification, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the profession.
  3. Proven experience working for a professional quantity surveying (PQS) firm, with a track record of delivering successful projects.
  4. Demonstrated experience managing a variety of projects, both small and large scale, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  5. Strong self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
