Deputy Clinical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Deputy Lead Nurse to join our clinical care team at Rainbows Hospice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supporting the Lead Nurse and Head of Hospice and Community Services in their roles.
Key Responsibilities- Provide shift-by-shift clinical leadership and act as Shift Coordinator as necessary, taking responsibility for decisions made and for the management of staff on shift.
- Line manage a small team of staff and identify training and development needs through the appraisal process.
- Plan and implement care for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions within the hospice.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of children and young people in partnership with them and their parents/guardians.
- Ensure all procedures are carried out in accordance with local and national policies in force within the Hospice.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified RSCN (Child Branch)/RNLD with at least 3 years post-registration experience working with children. Experience with children and/or young people (0-25 years) with complex needs is also required.
