About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join our team at Clarus Education Ltd. As a SENCO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the best outcomes for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the school's SEND policy and procedures
  • Conduct assessments of learning needs and plan appropriate curriculum provision and interventions for pupils with SEND
  • Manage medical needs in a school setting and ensure the well-being of all pupils
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

  • Hold the NASENCO qualification or be willing to undertake the relevant training
  • Have a good understanding of the SEND code of practice and experience in conducting assessments and planning interventions
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders
