Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute planned and corrective electrical maintenance tasks to ensure the reliable operation and optimal performance of various plant and equipment.
  • Collaborate with existing maintenance, operations, and process teams while adhering to safe working practices and sound engineering principles.
  • Implement scheduled maintenance by executing work orders generated through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Respond to equipment failures and breakdowns, performing necessary corrective actions as directed.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, electrical panels, motor control centers (MCCs), and SCADA systems.
  • Conduct disassembly, repair, overhaul, and testing of diverse electrical machinery.
  • Install and maintain various types of industrial equipment and components.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an electrical engineering apprenticeship at the trade level is essential.
  • Relevant experience in a similar capacity is required.
  • Familiarity with automated and PLC-controlled systems, MCCs, and SCADA is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and process schematics, including P&ID diagrams.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical systems is beneficial.
  • Possession of a current CSCS card or equivalent is preferred, along with current PASMA and MEWP certifications.
  • A valid forklift license is advantageous.
  • Certification for competency in confined spaces and escape breathing apparatus is beneficial.
  • A strong commitment to safe working practices, including risk assessments, method statements, isolation procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to the business's needs are essential.
