Join Our Team as a Systems Safety Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Systems Safety Engineer to become a vital part of our dynamic team at EC&I Partners. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong development potential and a proactive approach.
Position Overview:
As a Systems Safety Engineer, you will collaborate with a diverse team and report directly to the Team Lead. This is a permanent position based in Aberdeen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take on a project delivery role within the team.
- Design and implement new Pro-Safe hardwired safety control systems, adhering to our client's lifecycle and engineering standards.
- Execute modification workscopes for existing Pro-Safe systems, ensuring compliance with engineering practices.
- Occasionally provide support by visiting onshore/offshore sites for maintenance, installation, and commissioning tasks.
- Assist the sales team by preparing project quotations and support documentation for modifications and renewals.
- Enhance customer awareness of our safety engineering capabilities.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of procedures and documentation related to IEC61508/61511 certification.
- Provide training as needed and ensure familiarity with the latest Safety Shutdown and Distributed Control Systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Recognized qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- BOSIET/medical certifications or willingness to undergo training.
- Experience in maintaining Safety Shutdown and Distributed Control Systems in both onshore and offshore environments.
- Familiarity with IEE 17th edition wiring regulations.
- Wiring experience is preferred.
- Functional safety experience and certification are advantageous.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong understanding of relay logic and PLCs.
- Proficiency in Autocad and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Candidate Requirements:
Willingness to travel as required.
