Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Operative to join our client's team at one of their PBSA sites in Southwark. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the environments remain safe and well-maintained, creating an atmosphere that enhances the experience of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine property inspections and address maintenance needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work, and coordinate with contractors for more specialist tasks.
  • Conduct regular checks on HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Engage with residents professionally and positively, providing excellent customer service.
  • Oversee bin rotations, refuse removal, and cleanliness of bin stores and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure all works comply with safety regulations and that all safety systems, including fire alarms, are in working order.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CAFM system.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience in facilities or maintenance, preferably in a customer-facing role. Hospitality or residential sector experience is viewed favorably, but not essential. You will also need to demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive nature. A relevant trade qualification is desirable.

Working Arrangements
