Hygiene Operative

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Hygiene Operative to join our team at Birtwistles Food Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene throughout our factory.
While experience in a fresh, chilled meat environment is desirable, it is not essential. What is crucial is your ability to work effectively in a team environment and your willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
We offer comprehensive training to ensure your success in this role, and you will be joining a supportive team with a strong family atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain the factory plant, equipment, and facilities to ensure a safe and healthy working environment
- Ensure all machine parts are in good condition when dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling the machines
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including heavy lifting, and emptying waste bins and cardboard
- Place warning signs to alert colleagues to potential hazards such as wet floors and spillages
- Ensure cleaning products are stored correctly and safely
- Complete cleaning records to maintain accurate documentation
