Job Title: Nurture Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics.

About the Role:

As a Nurture Teaching Assistant, you will work with young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH) or Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support to students, helping them to develop essential life skills and strategies to manage their emotions and behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the unique needs of students with SEMH or EBD.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them to build resilience and confidence.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with students with SEMH or EBD.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Commitment to differentiating learning methods to suit individual needs.
