Position: Fire Risk Assessor & Adviser

Overview:
If you are a dedicated and dependable professional, we invite you to consider this opportunity.

Compensation:
£18.06 per hour

Working Hours:
9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Duration:
6 months

Role Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough investigations of all fire-related incidents and ensure they are reported accurately, with timely corrective actions implemented.
  • Serve as the technical authority on fire safety matters, acting as the primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Offer guidance, support, and training to management and staff to help them meet their fire safety compliance obligations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor, consistent with the role's responsibilities.

Required Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of fire safety legislation and best practices.

Essential Skills:
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a systematic approach to tasks.
  • Resilience, curiosity, and a practical mindset towards risk management.
  • Proficient in ICT, including familiarity with standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Capability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to gain support for and implement feasible solutions.

Qualifications:
Professional certification in fire risk management (minimum NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management or equivalent).
GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
A valid driving license (preferably clean).
