About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MHST Supervisor to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of Educational Mental Health Practitioners, providing consultation, advice, and training to other professionals, and delivering interventions directly to children and young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of Educational Mental Health Practitioners, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Provide consultation, advice, and training to other professionals, including teachers, school staff, and community partners, to enhance their understanding and skills in supporting children and young people's mental health.
  • Deliver targeted evidence-based interventions in schools, working closely with teachers, school staff, and other professionals to identify and address mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with the MHST and CAMHS Citywide teams, as well as other agencies, to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to supporting children and young people's mental health.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools, community partners, and other stakeholders to promote the MHST service and ensure its effective integration into local services.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience of working with children and young people, offering assessment and support for mental health difficulties.
  • Relevant qualification in nursing, social care, psychology, or equivalent, such as CYPIAPT trained.
  • Completion of the Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Supervision training is desirable for this role.
