About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Portfolio Manager to join our team at Liberty Specialty Markets. As a key member of our actuarial team, you will play a critical role in driving actuarial portfolio, pricing, and analytics to improve business performance, growth, and meeting operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain actuarial models and tools to support pricing and portfolio management decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of actuarial data and insights.
  • Provide actuarial advice and guidance to senior managers and other groups on actuarial, underwriting, financial, and strategic matters.
  • Drive the development of pricing tools and models to improve pricing sophistication and data quality.
  • Lead strategic projects to improve business performance and drive competitive advantage.
About the Department & Team

The actuarial team at Liberty Specialty Markets evaluates business performance and provides a clear, risk-based view for making decisions on business strategy and risk mitigation. We collaborate with other functions in the actuarial support of data & analytics, capital management, exposure management, and reinsurance purchasing & strategy.

Requirements
  • Qualified Actuary (ideally from three years post qualification upwards)
  • Relevant work experience in the general insurance, reinsurance, or consultancy field
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Able to apply the depth/breadth of actuarial skill and business acumen that often comes from highly technical experience
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills, communicating with a range of internal and external clients of varying experience, expertise, and appreciation of actuarial techniques
