If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Demand Planner to join our Central Functions Supply Chain Team at Greencore Group Ltd.
About the RoleAs a Demand Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production and distribution processes. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and implement optimum plans and schedules that deliver stock and service targets, while also procuring materials and labour to meet customer needs.
Key Accountabilities- Utilize our planning systems to convert sales forecasts into achievable production and material plans and schedules that balance customer service and operational cost efficiency.
- Manage risks within the plan and amend orders where possible/practical to achieve customer service and stock targets.
- Share forecasts with suppliers and work with them to resolve issues with materials availability.
- Measure, minimize, and publish expected obsolete/over stocks (finished product and/or raw materials).
- Manage ongoing communication with operations teams to ensure accurate exchange of information.
- Propose and implement continuous improvements in your area.
- Translate production plans into labour requirements and convert them into labour orders.
- Translate production plans into material requirements and convert them into supplier purchase orders.
- Monitor distribution providers' 'real-time' delivery performance, escalating potential OTIF failures as early as possible - both internally and to customers.
- Experience working in a fast-paced seasonal environment, ideally in FMCG, with a detailed knowledge of the planning process.
- Experience working with multiple ranges of SKUs - both short and long lead time.
- Good attention to detail and experience applying analytical thinking.
- Proficient computer user, including experience and knowledge of ERP systems.
