Mental Health Nurse

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to work with our team in a community setting. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of our service users, planning and delivering care from assessment to discharge.

You will work collaboratively with service users, carers, and other professionals to implement and evaluate care plans, providing individualized care and support. Your role will involve empowering and supporting the recovery journey of our service users, working closely with external partners, and advocating for their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the needs of service users and developing care plans
  • Implementing and evaluating care plans in collaboration with service users and other professionals
  • Providing individualized care and support to service users
  • Working closely with external partners, including community-based services and social services
  • Advocating for the needs of service users
  • Providing supervision for non-qualified staff

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of mental health principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with service users, carers, and other professionals
  • Basic understanding of the Mental Health Act
