We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Support Officer to join our Wheelchair and Orthotics team. As a Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality care to our patients.
Main Responsibilities- Assist wheelchair and orthotic therapists and assistants in delivering patient-centered care
- Arrange for wheelchair and orthotics equipment to be sent to or collected by patients, as instructed by therapists or assistants
- Update patient records accurately and efficiently
- Work closely with multiple departments and external agencies to share information and coordinate care
- Maintain good record-keeping to ensure traceability of patient equipment
- Unbox and handle deliveries of orthotic and wheelchair equipment, including assembly of wheelchairs
- Raise orders for wheelchair and orthotic equipment and monitor these orders
- Contact patients to arrange delivery of equipment ahead of appointments or ensure delivery to collect locations
- Be willing to work towards NVQ level 2
- Experience of independent working and team collaboration
- Good written and numeric skills, with attention to detail and ability to record data accurately
- Good communication and listening skills, with ability to feedback to colleagues
