Advanced Physiotherapist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner to join our team at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in the clinical delivery and leadership of our Stroke and Neurology physiotherapy services.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality physiotherapy service to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke and neurology patients. You will work closely with medical staff and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient management. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing clinical pathways and providing leadership and supervision to physiotherapy staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the clinical delivery and leadership of the Inpatient Stroke and Neurology physiotherapy services.
- Provide a physiotherapy assessment and treatment service at an advanced level for patients with neurological conditions.
- Work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team in the management of neurological patients.
- Lead in supervision, support, teaching, and appraisal of physiotherapy staff and students.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Evidence of study at Masters level or equivalent.
- Extensive post-registration experience in neurology physiotherapy.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Expert knowledge and experience in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with complex neurological conditions.
