Role Overview:
The PMO Planning and Resourcing Analyst is a pivotal position within the Portfolio Team of a leading charity in the UK. This role is designed to ensure effective management of the IT change portfolio, maintaining a comprehensive 12-month portfolio plan.

Key Responsibilities:
As a PMO Planning and Resourcing Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring timely updates to the portfolio plan, maintaining accuracy and version control.
  • Managing resources across all projects based on capacity, forecasting availability, and ensuring proper allocation.
  • Integrating the 6 and 12-month plans with a consolidated budget view, including milestones and deadlines for ongoing projects and new demands.
  • Preparing dashboards and conducting performance analysis across the entire portfolio.
  • Assisting in the development and upkeep of project plans, identifying and tracking dependencies between various projects.
  • Fostering strong relationships with project managers, internal stakeholders, and delivery partners.
  • Contributing to the enhancement of project-related processes, methodologies, tools, templates, and systems to facilitate efficient project delivery.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess experience in managing large, dynamic portfolios and will be a proactive, self-driven individual with a strong focus on planning.

Essential Experience:
  • Proven project and portfolio planning skills, with experience in project management and planning tools such as MS-Project.
  • Background in Portfolio Management, PMO, and Project Management.
  • Familiarity with project governance, methodologies, and controls.
  • High proficiency in the full MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in clear, non-technical language.
  • Comfort in challenging and validating plans to ensure accuracy.
