Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Aspiring Youth Justice Worker in Horley. This role will provide essential restorative experience within anti-social and challenging settings, making it an ideal opportunity for those interested in a career in prison, rehabilitation, probation, or youth justice services.

About the Role:

This Aspiring Youth Justice Worker position will give you hands-on experience working with vulnerable children, building strong, robust relationships to increase engagement, attainment, and life chances. You will work alongside teachers and specialist staff to support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges and traumas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify risks and needs of students, escalating where necessary
  • Provide consistency and equip children and young people with tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe they can succeed in life
  • Build confidence and motivation in students
  • Remain calm and resilient in situations of stress or conflict
  • High levels of empathy, caring, compassionate, and a good listener

Requirements:

  • Passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, with a professional approach to work

What We Offer:

Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD to ensure safeguarding of all students. Competitive pay rate of £80-£85 per day, PAYE, term time only. No previous experience is required. You must have the right to work in the UK to apply.
