Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at ECM Selection. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications for controlling and interrogating hardware.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading company in the digital imaging-based instrumentation industry. You will be part of a friendly and collaborative team that develops software solutions for researchers in the pharmaceutical and life science industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software applications for controlling and interrogating hardware, including cameras and user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development projects.
  • Develop and maintain software applications using C++ and other relevant technologies.
  • Ensure software applications meet the required quality and performance standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of software development processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a reputable university.
  • Substantial hands-on experience in software development using C++ and other relevant technologies.
  • Expertise in digital imaging, camera systems, and hardware interfacing.
  • Full right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of.NET, COM, and software engineering best practices.
  • Familiarity with IDEs like MS Visual Studio.
  • Experience with WPF/XAML, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, and Transact SQL.
  • Understanding of Subversion and NUnit.
