**About the Role**

Our client, a leading independent distributor of civil engineering and groundwork materials, is seeking a skilled Yard Operative to join their team at their Maidstone office. As a Yard Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse and yard, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the sales team.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Assist customers with their queries and provide exceptional customer service skills

• Load and unload supplier vehicles, ensuring accurate and efficient stock management

• Store and check stock, maintaining a tidy and organized workspace

• Pick and check orders for deliveries, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail

• Operate a telehandler forklift, with training provided for the right candidate

• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets and provide a high level of customer satisfaction

**Requirements**

• Previous experience in a warehouse or yard environment is desirable, but not essential

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Physical stamina to lift and move stock, with a willingness to work in a dynamic and varied environment

• Knowledge of warehouse management systems and procedures is an advantage
