Job Summary:

The Best Jobs is seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Steward to join our team at Elton Liberal Club. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our club, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting our events and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Club Operations: Assist in preparing the club for daily opening and closing, ensuring that all areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Customer Service: Respond to member and guest inquiries, addressing any issues or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Staff Management: Maintain staff rotas, including time sheets and holidays, and ensure that all staff are knowledgeable about our product range and pricing.
  • Bar Management: Organize staffing of bars, maintain bars, and clean lines from the cellar on a weekly basis.
  • Financial Management: Reconcile till roll totals daily, in liaison with the Steward and Manager.
  • Stock Management: Assist in stock deliveries, checking and storing as required.

Requirements:

  • Flexibility: Ability to meet the demands of club activities and events.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service credentials.
  • Teamwork: Innovative with a positive can-do attitude, experience in managing and training staff.
  • Bar Management: Experience in bar stock and cellar management.
  • Residency: Local residency is an advantage due to key holder responsibilities and occasional cover for staff holidays.
