This role involves providing essential administrative support to the Education and Training sector. Our apprenticeship programs are tailored to empower talented individuals to achieve nationally recognized qualifications while gaining practical experience in the workplace. You will receive guidance to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors to excel in your role, along with allocated study time during your working hours to pursue your qualification.
In this position, you will engage in a 22-month development program as a Learning and Development Practitioner within the Learning and Development team, combining hands-on learning with regular training sessions. Successful completion of this program will culminate in an Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3.
This role is offered on a fixed-term basis, with the potential for permanent employment upon successful completion of the qualification.
Please note that candidates must have resided in the UK for a minimum of three years at the commencement of their apprenticeship.
Important Information
Candidates who already possess a relevant qualification at this level or higher in Learning and Development or L&D Management are not eligible to apply for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency and expertise in technology.
- Stay updated on new software and relevant applications.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly, reporting any damaged or faulty items as necessary.
- Assist in linking Education and Learning IT systems to ensure the effective operation of the learning management system and other IT platforms.
- Contribute to the development and management of reporting systems.
- Support the delivery of the Trust's Corporate Induction program.
- Handle all administrative tasks related to e-learning, aiming to enhance compliance with statutory and mandatory training.
- Manage inquiries from internal and external stakeholders via various communication channels.
- Take messages and coordinate arrangements on behalf of the team.

Detailed Responsibilities
IT Training
- Exhibit proficiency and expertise in technology.
- Maintain current knowledge of new software and applications.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order, reporting any issues as necessary.
- Facilitate the integration of Education and Learning IT systems to ensure effective functioning of the learning management system.
IT Support System
- Assist in developing and managing reporting systems.
- Prepare reports by extracting data from learning systems and other databases.
Corporate Induction
- Support the execution of the Trust's Corporate Induction program.
- Timely invite staff to induction sessions through effective communication with individuals and department managers.
- Accurately record attendance at induction sessions.
Administrative Duties
- Manage all administrative tasks related to e-learning to improve compliance with mandatory training.
- Prepare login credentials for new staff to access e-learning as needed.
- Create quality training materials, evaluation forms, and certificates, ensuring timely availability.
- Ensure equipment is returned in good condition and securely stored.
- Generate reports using the learning management system and other databases.
- Oversee room bookings and educational facility tasks, ensuring AV equipment is serviced and ready for use.
General Administrative Tasks
- Address inquiries from internal and external customers through various communication methods.
- Report faulty equipment and maintenance issues as needed.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, preparing responses as required.
- Maintain a working knowledge of other roles within the administration team to provide support as necessary.
- Attend departmental team meetings.
- Promote and support the mandatory training agenda for the Trust.
- Foster a positive organizational culture regarding learning and development, encouraging staff ownership.

Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy.
Desirable Criteria
- Possession of 5 GCSEs at A* - C or equivalent.
Experience
