Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our high-performing IT team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional third-line support for our global infrastructure network and executing various network projects within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor IT systems and implement preventative measures to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues effectively.
  • Conduct performance testing of business applications, networks, and servers. Provide comprehensive performance statistics and reports, and develop strategies for maintaining and enhancing core infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Project Management teams to ensure successful site deployments and moves.
  • Adhere to all IT security policies and actively contribute to enforcing and monitoring these policies.
  • Participate in an on-call rota and perform regular weekend network maintenance.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Embrace additional/ad hoc duties to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven track record of success in an IT support or administration role, with at least 3 years of experience.
  • CCNA level certification is essential.
  • Demonstrated understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, and associated protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
  • A strong aptitude for learning new technologies and concepts.

Desirable Skills

  • Hands-on experience working with multiple vendors, including Cisco and Meraki (firewalls, access points, and switches).
  • Familiarity with the ServiceNow framework.
  • Knowledge and application of ITIL processes.
  • Experience in monitoring, investigating, and resolving network issues.
