An exciting opportunity exists for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Operations team. As a key player in our manufacturing facility, you will contribute significantly to our operational excellence.

Our maintenance engineers operate on a rotating shift schedule and are tasked with effectively servicing all operational and auxiliary machinery, focusing on minimizing downtime and optimizing cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of this role include:

  • Providing essential breakdown repairs to support operational teams.
  • Leading preventative maintenance initiatives to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Promoting engineering solutions aimed at process improvement to ensure operational availability and productivity targets are met.
  • Documenting and reporting maintenance and repair activities using appropriate management systems.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of processes that align with health and safety management standards.
  • Utilizing the planned maintenance system to raise work orders for identified issues and propose corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to analyze root causes and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintaining accurate records to identify trends and necessary corrective actions.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant electrical discipline, or have completed a recognized apprenticeship.

A solid electrical background with a proven track record is essential. The ideal candidate will work as part of a cohesive team and should be well-versed in current health and safety regulations.

Experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting within an industrial setting is crucial, along with the ability to adapt to new technologies. Flexibility and a commitment to continuous learning and development are highly valued.
