About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Farm Assurance Specialist to join our team at Bureau Veritas, a leading provider of analytical services and expertise to the food industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing assessments and audits to ensure that dairy and meat products meet Australian and New Zealand food safety and animal welfare standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-farm audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with industry standards
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers and industry stakeholders
  • Provide training and support to farmers on best practices and industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience in farming or a related field, including knowledge of livestock stock handling and behavior
  • Auditing experience is preferred, but training can be provided
  • Advanced relationship building skills with varied demographics
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced attention to detail and the ability to make professional judgments
  • Skills in close contact handling of large and small animals
  • Strong numeracy and literacy
  • Driver's License
  • Cattle experience is desirable
