Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our team at HMP Nottingham. As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality mental health care to individuals in custody, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care to individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs and circumstances of each individual.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with mental health conditions.
  • Provide education and training to colleagues and other stakeholders on mental health issues and best practices in offender health.
About HMP Nottingham

HMP Nottingham is a Category B remand prison that houses approximately 1000 men over the age of 18. Our dedicated healthcare centre provides a range of services, including mental health care, substance misuse treatment, and primary care.
