Quantity Surveyor Graduate Job Description

Farrans Construction is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor Graduate to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor Graduate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior experts to optimize project costs and risks
  • Analyze subcontract quotations and review conditions and/or qualifications
  • Assist with drafting and negotiating contract types prior to submission of a tender
  • Ensure the preparation of interim applications and evaluate, measure, and recover contract variations
  • Review, assess, and reduce commercial and contractual risks
  • Assist with the procurement of subcontractors and generate payments and distribute notices to suppliers and subcontractors
  • Contribute to the submission of weekly financial forecasting and prepare estimates and costs of the work
Requirements:
  • Civil Engineering Degree with a 2:2 or higher
  • Full UK manual driving license
  • Passionate about starting a career in the civils industry
  • High attention to detail coupled with meticulous planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work flexibly in a team
