Job Title: Financial Manager

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team at The Institution of Structural Engineers. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance function and supporting or overseeing all aspects of our financial management.

About the Role:

This is a varied and challenging role that requires a strong understanding of financial management principles and best practices. You will be responsible for managing a small finance team and working closely with staff across the institution to ensure the effective management of our finances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day finance function, including financial accounting, reporting, and internal controls
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the institution's goals and objectives
  • Manage a small finance team and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Work closely with staff across the institution to ensure effective financial management
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to inform business decisions
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Qualification in finance or accounting, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA
