Senior Electrical Engineer Opportunity

BMT Group is a leading engineering consultancy that tackles complex challenges in the maritime and environmental sectors. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of innovative engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design of electrical engineering systems for new marine platforms, life extension programs, and in-service solutions.
  • Provide advice on the integration of electrical systems and equipment within ships, submarines, and other marine platforms.
  • Support electrical engineering projects across various technical consultancy projects, primarily in the maritime sector but also including land and environmental sectors.
  • Manage electrical engineering projects and provide ad-hoc assistance to broader mechanical and marine engineering projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an electrical-related subject or equivalent experience in naval and/or commercial marine electrical engineering.
  • Demonstrable experience in electrical engineering in the maritime (defense or commercial shipping) or environmental sectors.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in leading technical projects to time, cost, and quality.
  • Flexibility to work on a range of projects, across customer sites, and using a breadth of technical skills and knowledge.
  • Good understanding of electrical regulation and legislation, project management, and leadership skills.
