As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and deliver evidence-based care to our service users. You will be responsible for coordinating shifts, providing supervision to support workers and students, and representing the ward manager and care team at various forums.
We offer a comprehensive induction program, including a two-week orientation that allows you to work with different teams and gain a deeper understanding of our services. **Key Responsibilities:**
* Deliver high-quality, evidence-based inpatient nursing care in partnership with the team, service users, and their families.
* Act as a primary nurse in assessing needs and organizing care.
* Coordinate shifts and provide supervision for support workers and students.
* Work within a team of nurses and other professionals committed to delivering a quality service.
* Adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty to meet the needs of the service over a 24-hour period.
* Represent the ward manager and/or care team at appropriate forums and disseminate information as required.
**Person Specification:**
* Registered Nurse with current registration (mental health / LD/ Adult) appropriate to the job role.
* Child and Adult safeguarding procedures.
* Demonstrate ability to enhance care through evidence-based knowledge.
* Demonstrate professional development relevant to the care group.
* Demonstrates ability to assess and manage clinical risk.
**Disclosure and Barring Service Check:**
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
**Salary:** £28,407 to £34,581 a year PA / pro rata for part-time.
