Role Summary

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the manufacturing team in the assembly of parts and final products, adhering to company specifications and ensuring that performance and quality standards are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assemble products following detailed instructions and established company procedures.
  2. Perform tasks in compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.
  3. Inspect components and materials utilized in the assembly process.
  4. Conduct testing of completed products according to specified instructions and procedures.
  5. Operate assembly testing and processing equipment (e.g., Factory Acceptance Tester, 100-ton press).
  6. Take precise measurements to guarantee the accurate fit of components.
  7. Align materials and assemble parts to create more complex units.
  8. Verify output to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
  9. Maintain equipment in optimal working condition.
  10. Document production quantities and lot numbers accurately.
  11. Report any issues, malfunctions, or defective components.
  12. Utilize hand tools and soldering equipment as required.

Qualifications

  1. Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly line setting.
  2. Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
  3. Experience with inline inspection of components and subassemblies.
  4. Basic computer skills.
  5. Ability to work across various areas of the production process.
  6. Capable of collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  7. Able to take initiative and work independently when necessary.
  8. Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  9. Proficient in reading and following written and verbal instructions while adhering to standards.
  10. Strong attention to detail.
  11. Quick learner with good manual dexterity.
  12. Consistently manage assigned tasks efficiently.
  13. Understanding of production costs, including the implications of poor quality, waste, downtime, scrap, and rework.
