Nuclear Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description

Major Talent is seeking a Nuclear Mechanical Design Engineer to join our prestigious client on numerous long-term projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear mechanical engineering and experience working on projects that last over 10 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating cutting-edge designs for nuclear mechanical systems
  • Leading on project delivery and providing solutions to clients
  • Maintaining the engineering configuration and ensuring the overall design intent and integrity are maintained throughout the design lifecycle
  • Providing support to the Project Manager in planning, controlling, and delivering tasks and projects
  • Making engineering decisions within your designated sphere of responsibility and delegated authority

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering in a relevant discipline
  • At least 3 years' experience working on nuclear projects
  • Strong knowledge of CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing Practice
  • Valid UK driving license and British passport
  • Right to work in the UK
